Grade Level: Adaptable to all levels 3 -12 National Standards Aligned to: 1,2,3,4,5,6 Equipment needed: Dot Run Game boards, Crayons Prep: Spread game boards on one side of the gym. It is best to play upbeat music to motivate students and to start and stop the activity. Dot Run is played with a partner. Encourage kids to look where they want to go to make sure it is a safe pathway before they move in that direction. How to Play: Students jog one at a time from their starting point to where their game board is located. They pick up the crayon and they make a line connecting two of the dots on the board. They jog back to their partner and they now take a turn. A student that is able to connect two dots that forms an enclosed box gets to put their initials in the center of that box. Repeat this process until all dots are connected. Add up the boxes to see who captured the most. Play again. Modifications: a) Have the partner that is not running to the dot board perform a strength building or flexibility activity until it is their turn. b) After a game is completed, compete against another student.
